Mark Feldman, Chief Executive Officer

Mark Feldman serves as a Chief Executive Officer for Miller/Russell & Associates. Recognized multiple years as a Barron’s top independent financial advisor, Mark possesses extensive credentials in the wealth management industry with more than 25 years of experience. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Certified Financial PlannerTM certification. His roles have included supervising a wide range of client relationships, including multi-generational family groups, high net worth individuals, corporate executives and institutions.
Previously, Mark was the Senior Partner of Integration for the GenSpring Family Offices, where he advised ultra-high net worth clients in the United States. In 2002, Mark founded Inlign Wealth Management, LLC, which was ranked as one of the top RIA firms in the Valley from inception to merger. Inlign subsequently merged with GenSpring Family Offices, LLC in 2008. Prior to Inlign, Mark was the partner in charge of the Arizona Private Client Services practice, the National Investment Advisory Resource Center partner, and was a critical partner in setting strategy for the National Private Client Services practice at Arthur Andersen LLP.
Mark was appointed as the Commission Chair for the Arizona Commission on the Arts by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Science Center and is Chairman of the Board for Free Arts of Arizona. He is a past member of Greater Phoenix Leadership, past President of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern and Central Arizona and a past Trustee of the Desert Botanical Garden.
Mark lives in Scottsdale with his wife and has two children. He is a fan of all Arizona sports teams. |
Dennis Miller, Chairman

Dennis is the founder and Chairman of Miller/Russell. He provides investment advisory services to individual and corporate investors, foundations, endowments, and qualified plans. He also serves as Chairman of the Investment Policy Committee. Dennis was recognized as one of the country's top 100 Independent Financial Advisers for 2007 by Barron's.
Dennis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Washington State University, and a Graduate Certificate from the Pacific Coast School of Banking. Prior to starting Miller/Russell in 1991, Dennis worked in the commercial banking industry, most recently as Executive Vice President for Citibank of Arizona, where he managed the corporate banking function.
Dennis also serves on the Board of Directors of Alliance Bank of Arizona and the Arizona Science Center.
In his free time, Dennis enjoys various outdoor and physical fitness activities. |
Brad Lemon, Principal, Senior Investment Counselor

Brad serves as Principal, Senior Investment Counselor for Miller/Russell. He provides investment management services to foundations, non-profit organizations, qualified plans, corporations, and individuals. Brad also serves as a member of Miller/Russell's Investment Policy Committee.
Brad attended Spokane Falls Community College and Western Washington University. He holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh, and certifies him to conduct investment fiduciary assessments. Prior to joining Miller/Russell in 1998, Brad served as Vice President with Rowland Carmichael, a full-service advisory and financial planning firm, where he spent six years servicing qualified plans. Preceding that position, Brad spent four years as an agent for State Mutual of America providing insurance and financial planning services.
Brad is currently a member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Western Pension & Benefits Conference. He is also a life member of the Executive Council for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix, where he has been instrumental in organizing successful fundraising events for the organization. |
Bill Hodges, Vice-Chairman

Bill Hodges serves as Vice-Chairman for Miller/Russell. He provides tax and financial planning services for individuals and private businesses, as well as estate and succession planning.
Bill received a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Accounting from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, holds the Certified Financial Specialist designation, and holds the Series 65 License. Most recently, Bill was Senior Managing Director in the Phoenix Local Family Office of GenSpring Family Offices. He was responsible for providing leadership and direction to the office and its personnel, as well as developing relationships as a trusted advisor by closely assisting clients with their personal financial needs. Prior to that, Bill had an extensive career in public accounting with a specialty in assisting closely held businesses and high net worth individuals and their families with financial and tax matters.
He was a partner with Arthur Andersen until 2002 heading up the tax practices of Arizona and New Mexico and in charge of the Pacific Southwest (LA, San Diego, Orange County, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Tucson and Hawaii) Federal tax practice. During his 16 years leadership of the Phoenix tax practice he assisted in the development and growth of the Private Client Services practice serving High Net Worth individuals and their families. Bill was briefly in charge of the Phoenix office Private Client Services practice of Deloitte & Touche before joining Inlign Wealth Management in 2004. Inlign Wealth Management was purchased by GenSpring in 2008.
Bill is currently Chairman of the Board of the Arizona Community Foundation, a past chairman of the Professional Advisory Board of the ACF, as well as a Board Member and Secretary/Treasurer of the McKenzie Monks Foundation. He received the Distinguished Achievement Award from the College of Business at Arizona State University in 1996, and was the recipient of the James W. Cressman Award of Excellence in 2000 from the Arizona State University Alumni Association. Bill is a former Chairman of the Arizona Society of CPAs and recipient of the 2005 Public Service award from the ASCPA.
Bill and Sheri have been happily married since 1968 and have two children; Christi and Brent and three grandchildren; TJ, Caiden and Addi. Bill and Sheri enjoy golf and travel. |
Christina Burroughs, Senior Wealth Management Counselor

Christina serves as Senior Wealth Management Counselor for Miller/Russell. She works with client families on a variety of wealth management issues such as investment planning, strategic multi-generational planning, and philanthropy. Christina also serves as a member of Miller/Russell's Investment Policy Committee.
Christina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Northwestern College. She completed graduate coursework in Clinical Psychology at Wheaton College and the Program for Certification of Financial Planners for Northeastern University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and holds the Series 65 license. Christina has worked with complex wealth management clients in a multi-family office setting for more than a decade. Most recently, Christina was the president of GenSpring Family Offices' Phoenix family office. Prior to that, she served as a director at Inlign Wealth Management, the predecessor to GenSpring's Phoenix office where she provided strategic direction for the integration of wealth management disciplines and the delivery of those services to clients. Prior to joining Inlign, Christina was a financial advisor at Tanager Financial Services in Boston, Massachusetts. She focused on the integration and implementation of investment, tax, estate planning, risk management, and philanthropic services to further her clients' goals and support the sustainability of their wealth. Additionally, she spent seven years working in human services and clinical psychology.
Christina serves on the Board of Directors for The Wellness Community of Arizona and the Hunger-Free Communities Plan Steering Committee, a partnership of Association of Arizona Food Banks and Valley of the Sun United Way. She was in the Phoenix Business Journal's 2011 Class of 40 Under Forty and Top 25 Businesswomen of the Year. Christina resides in Phoenix with her husband and two children. |
Joel Bonnema, Senior Investment Counselor

Joel serves as Senior Investment Counselor for Miller/Russell. He works with individual investors, families, business owners, foundations, and non-profit organizations to ensure that wealth accumulation, retirement, tax, and estate planning goals are achieved. Joel also serves as a member of Miller/Russell's Investment Policy Committee.
Joel received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University, Long Beach. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Prior to joining Miller/Russell in 1996, Joel worked as Regional Marketing Director for Schwab Institutional, where he consulted with over 200 independent investment advisory firms throughout the Southwest to help them effectively manage and grow their businesses. Prior to that position, Joel spent five years with Charles Schwab & Co. in its retail division providing consulting and investment advice to individual investors to help them achieve their financial goals.
Joel is currently a member of the Financial Planning Association, and is an active participant in industry conferences.
In his free time Joel enjoys travel and outdoor activities including surfing, volleyball and golf. |
Russ Bucklew, Investment Counselor

Russ serves as Investment Counselor for Miller/Russell. He manages the Las Vegas Office, providing wealth management to high net worth individuals and institutions.
Russ received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington, a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and a Juris Doctor from Seattle University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, and a member of the Washington State Bar Association. Prior to joining Miller/Russell in 2005, Russ worked for ten years providing financial advice at Charles Schwab and Merrill Lynch. Russ also has 12 years experience in banking and trust with two financial institutions in the Pacific Northwest. He began his career with a law firm in Seattle.
Russ serves on Investment Policy Committee and the Marketing Committee at Miller/Russell, helping to make policy decisions including financial planning and marketing for the high net worth client offering. Russ volunteers with the Clark County School District and Las Vegas area Cub Scouts (Boys Scouts of America). Other affiliations include the UNLV Planned Giving Professional Advisory and the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Russ recently attended an advanced investment symposium at the University of Chicago, and participates in advanced tax planning programs at Golden Gate University in Los Angeles. He has written for professional publications and contributed to the Miller/Russell Insights October 2009 edition with an article on Roth IRA conversions. |
David Westra, Investment Counselor

Dave serves as Investment Counselor for Miller/Russell. His primary focus is to provide client portfolio management services to retirement plans, foundations, and high net worth clients. He also works with qualified plan sponsors and investment trustees to help them benchmark their plan administration and recordkeeping services and fees. Dave serves on Miller/Russell's Investment Policy Committee and Marketing Committee.
Dave received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of Southern California, and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh. He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility. Prior to joining Miller/Russell in 2006, Dave spent four years as the Director of Finance for Avnet, Inc., where he managed the global finance and reporting functions for Avnet Logistics. Prior to that position, Dave worked for seven years as Vice President of Finance for Bankers Trust Company.
Dave is currently a member of the Phoenix Chapter of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference. He also serves as a Board Member and coach of Arcadia Little League. Dave is a past member of the Executive Council of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix.

Beverly Bowers, Senior Portfolio Manager

Beverly serves as Senior Portfolio Manager for Miller/Russell. She provides investment management and support for high net worth clients, including advice relating to estate planning, tax, and insurance issues. Beverly also manages the firm's portfolio support department.
Beverly received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Iowa State University, and is also a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. Prior to joining Miller/Russell in 2007, Beverly worked for Vanguard for four years, most recently as Sales Manager in Financial Advisor Services in Scottsdale. Prior to that, Beverly served as founder and President of Bowers Financial Services, LLC in Wilmington, North Carolina, where she provided investment advisory services. Beverly also worked for Charles Schwab & Co, Inc. for nine years and helped launch a branch office in Wilmington.
Beverly is currently a member of the Financial Planning Association, the Desert Botanical Garden, and Iowa State University Alumni Association. She volunteers with Junior Achievement and the Women's Metropolitan Arts Council, which supports the Phoenix Art Museum. In 2003, Beverly was recognized with the Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. She completed the Leadership Wilmington program in 2000. In 1993 Beverly was inducted into the Arizona Hall of Fame for Financial Women International.
In her free time, Beverly enjoys travel, music, hiking, swimming, and is an avid sports fan. |
Mary Ann Hennelly-Favata, Portfolio Manager

Mary Ann Hennelly-Favata serves as a Portfolio Manager for Miller/Russell. Mary Ann provides investment management and financial planning services for high net worth clients.
Mary Ann coordinates closely with CPAs and attorneys of her clients to ensure proper implementation of investment, financial, insurance, retirement, tax and estate planning goals.
Mary Ann received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Redlands, California. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional. Mary Ann also holds an insurance license for life, health and property casualty. Mary Ann is currently a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Prior to joining Miller/Russell in 2004, Mary Ann spent seven years in the Scottsdale office of Henry & Horne, PLC. She also has extensive experience working in the following industries: financial business management, tax, accounting, corporate analysis, banking and insurance.
Mary Ann spends her free time with her two daughters and her husband. She is involved with the children's school and her church. |
Nathan Erickson, Portfolio Manager

Nathan Erickson serves as Portfolio Manager for Miller/Russell. His primary focus is to lead Miller/Russell's research efforts. He also provides private wealth and investment management services to foundations, retirement plans, and high net worth clients. Nathan is a member of Miller/Russell's Investment Policy Committee.
Nathan received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Kenyon College, as well as a Master of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Sydney, Australia. He has a diverse background in the investment industry, having spent time in commercial real estate sales and lending, and in investment brokerage with Charles Schwab. While in Australia he worked as an equity analyst for Kaplan Funds management, a Sydney based firm with $2 billion in client assets.
Prior to joining Miller/Russell Nathan served as a Portfolio Manager with Foothills Asset Management, where he focused on investment and economic research as well as performance reporting.

Jim LaMancusa, Retirement Plan Consultant

Jim serves as a Retirement Plan Consultant for Miller/Russell. He works with retirement plan clients regarding a multitude of issues including fiduciary and 404(c) compliance, IRS and DOL compliance testing, plan conversions, and participant education.
Jim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Arizona State University. He holds the Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designations with the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Jim also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh. He has received formal training in investment fiduciary responsibility. Prior to joining Miller/Russell in 2000, Jim spent more than five years working with retirement plan service providers where he prepared and managed all facets of plan administration, including interpretation of statutes and regulations, and facilitated training sessions. In addition, he served for six years in the United States Air Force.
Jim is currently a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and the Phoenix Chapter of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference. He serves as a Board Member of the Arizona Chapter of the National Institute of Pension Administrators. Jim also coaches in various non-profit youth sports leagues and organizations. |
Cayce Craven, Senior Tax Manager

Cayce Craven serves as Senior Tax Manager for Miller/Russell. She provides tax and financial planning services for individuals and private businesses, as well as estate and succession planning.
Cayce received a Bachelor of Arts degree from College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Series 65 License. Most recently, Cayce was Senior Relationship Manager in the Phoenix Local Family Office of GenSpring Family Offices. Prior to that, Cayce had a career in public accounting with a specialty in assisting closely held businesses and high net worth individuals and their families with financial and tax matters.

James McGettigan, Senior Associate

James McGettigan serves as a Senior Associate for Miller/Russell & Associates. He has a diverse background in tax compliance and planning, financial planning, investment advisory and other wealth management/family office services.
James received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master in Taxation from W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds the Series 65 License. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Arizona Society of CPAs. He is also preparing to sit for the CFP® exam.
Prior to joining Miller/Russell, James was a Senior Associate for GenSpring Family Offices where he supported client families and high net worth individuals in tax compliance and planning, cash flow and debt planning, portfolio projection modeling, single stock position planning, investment advisory services and retirement planning.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and loves traveling off the beaten path.

Eric Ensign, Senior Associate

Eric Ensign serves as Senior Associate for Miller/Russell & Associates. He provides investment advisory, tax planning, tax compliance, estate planning and other wealth management services to high net worth families.
Eric received Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance and continued to earn a Masters of Taxation from the W.P Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. He also holds the Series 65 License.
Prior to joining Miller/Russell, Eric served as Senior Associate in the Phoenix Local Family Office of GenSpring Family Offices. He was primarily responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns as well as providing advice for wealthy families including family partnerships, trusts, businesses and foundations. Additionally, he assisted clients in meeting their personal and family goals by serving as an investment advisor and running long term wealth projections. He has been serving wealthy families since 2007.
Eric is an Arizona native and enjoys sports, history, golf, hiking and spending time with his wife, daughter and family.
